"Sabbath and Creation"
Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11

The word Sabbath simply means to stop or cease. After God created the world He rested. In Genesis we see that God's resting is a model for us: six days for work; one day for rest. Sabbath is part of the created order. We are destined to live in the rhythms of work and rest. Our culture is one of work, go go, and activity and so our hearts are restless and anxious. We need to learn to stop in obedience to the rhythms of creation.

The Safety and Risk Management Training Seminar is mandatory for all volunteers serving virtually or in-person with minors in Children's and Teens Ministry.

We welcome Deene Trazona who will be working as a full-time Facilities Assistant at Fraser Lands and joining Estefani and Evan on our Facilities team.

The Pre-Marriage Course is a practical five-session course offered by Alpha for dating or engaged couples who are exploring the idea of marriage. The Pre-Marriage Course helps build a strong foundation for your relationship.

The Elders Election will be taking place during the Annual General Meeting on Sunday April 28th.

We will be having a combined worship service on Sunday April 28th at 9:30am with the whole church family.

All Fraser Lands attendees are welcome to join us for the Annual General Meeting either in-person or online via live stream and hear the current and future plans of our church. We will celebrate what the Lord has done in our church this past year and elect our elders and the Elder Nominating Committee for this coming year.

Registration is required for everyone wanting to attend the AGM (in-person or online via live stream). The registration deadline is April 21st.

Every month, two of our workers will update us with praise reports and prayer needs. Please join together and pray for our ministry and mission workers as they serve the Lord in their respective roles and organizations. Please see the updates from Sawyer Payne and Esther Leung-Kong below.

Sawyer arrived in Guatemala on March 25th. He is working in Educando Para La Vida  (a school in Zaragoza, Guatemala) for the next 8 months. He will be there to support the staff to develop their English language program.

Esther is the Outreach Ministries Manager in CRRS. She trains young volunteer leaders to serve under-provided children in rural China and locally in East Vancouver. CRRS became an official partner with local non-profit Vancouver Urban Ministries in 2016 and sponsored First Nations students to attend their tutoring program. In 2020, Esther started a free summer camp for children from low-income families in East Vancouver.

Help for Lytton
There are several ways to help out. There is a ministry trip to Lytton to conduct the Children's Carnival at Lytton's May Day event on Saturday May 18th during the Victoria Day long weekend. Consider joining us on this trip. Click here for more info and to register. We are also recruiting anyone who is interested in visiting a few Lyttonites living in the Fraser Valley (i.e. Hope/Chilliwack/Abbotsford) and spend a few hours at each outing. Sunday Parking Reminder
On Sundays, the upper parking lot is reserved for first time visitors, parents with babies/toddlers (up to age 3), people who have limited mobility, handicap parking, and drop off/pick up.
