"Fasting and Power"
2 Chronicles 20:1-6; 10-15

There are many examples of fasting in the bible where people are asking God for something. People add fasting to prayers of petition to amplify their prayers.

Are we missing out on one of Jesus' most essential practices? Fasting is going without food for a set amount of time to awaken our body and soul to our deep hunger and need for God. It's one of the most powerful, and neglected, of all of Jesus' practices. As a follow up to our recent messages on Fasting, join us for a 4 week course on "The Fasting Practice". Angela Torres-Wong is starting a four-week free art therapy group for women. This group uses art therapy as a way to de-stress, make discoveries about self, process stress with others, and increase wellbeing. The group will include art making, psycho-education, worksheets, personal reflections, sharing in pairs, and large group discussions. No previous art experience necessary.

Prayer Summits are the monthly opportunity to engage in prayer together as a church family! Join us as we gather for worship, reflection, personal prayer time, and corporate prayer for important needs and issues. Let us come together to give thanks, pray for the world, our city, our church, and for each other.

Summer is here. It’s time to take your 4-legged pals for some outdoor adventure. Let’s come and join our next monthly event held on Sunday June 23 @ 3:30pm for our first hike of this year at Mundy Park in Coquitlam to enjoy the beautiful nature, meet some friends and have fun together. Feel free to invite your friends/family to come. Everyone (whether they have pets or not) are all welcome!

Making Connections is an opportunity for the women of our church to get to know one another, have some fun, enjoy food & pray together. Our hope is that we can grow closer as the women in this church family. Molly, Jamie and Deb will also share about Alliance Women and we will have a time of prayer before ending off.

Scuba VBS 2024 takes kids deep into an amazing undersea adventure where they'll experience the ever-flowing, never-ending love of God.

A fabulous week of day camp filled with Bible lessons, creative crafts, joy-filled singing, amazing games, delicious refreshments, and lasting friendships.

Theme: Scuba: Diving into Friendship with God

Age: Preschool - Grade 6 
(turns 4 years old by December)

When: Monday to Friday August 12 - 16, 2024

Serve at VBS
This summer at Vacation Bible School, children will dive into a fun-filled week of worship, Bible adventures, crafts, games and most importantly swimming in God’s Word! Get ready to volunteer and help children become friends with Jesus! VBS will run from Aug. 12-16, 2024. Click here for more info about areas to serve.

Sunday Parking Reminder
On Sundays, the upper parking lot is reserved for first time visitors, parents with babies/toddlers (up to age 3), people who have limited mobility, handicap parking, and drop off/pick up.

CCCOWE Canada (Chinese Coordination Centre of World Evangelism) is hosting an event on Saturday June 22nd at 7:30pm in the FLC Chapel. The topic will be about how you and churches can be a part of God's reign and glory in the least reached Muslim nations.
