Help for Lytton
From Sustaining to Rebuilding the Community

Updated: November 5, 2021

On Wednesday October 27, 2021, we made another delivery trip to Lytton. The team was composed of four vehicles and 7 members from Fraser Lands Church and Richmond Capstan Alliance Church delivering supplies to Skuppah Fire Relief Centre. We bought lunch in Hope on our way to share with people of the Relief Centre. As usual our supplies are very much appreciated. We met some new people from the Skuppah Band and spent time discussing their most recent situation. We were also introduced to ‘Ladybug’ – a 10-week-old puppy. She is going to grow up with the rebuilding of the Lytton community.

The techno clinic was postponed because more time is needed to prepare and schedule the event. But it will happen later this year or early next year.

Christmas is fast approaching, and we are working with the Relief Centre to provide Christmas hampers for the families living in the Lytton area. Our idea is to prepare packages that cater to the entire family for their holiday celebration. We are also working on a few activities that will help sustain and rebuild the Lytton community. Please contact us if you are interested in getting involved.

Our next delivery trip to Lytton is scheduled for either Friday Nov. 19 or Saturday Nov. 20th. Delivery of Christmas hampers will be in early December. Please continue to support us with your prayer and donation. Encourage others to support us too. As usual, our pantry is empty after our last trip.

In terms of Merritt, we are working with Somang Mission Community to provide Christmas hampers to the evacuated families living in Merritt.
