One of the objections that modern Christians have to serving God on mission is time; there are just too many things for me to do. Part of the idea of a missional mindset is to be more intentional with the things we are already doing, rather than doing more things.

One of the things that you are already doing is eating. Jesus used his meals as opportunities to include people in the kingdom of God, as well as a sign and foretaste of the kingdom. Eating is a sign of friendship. Over the table, we invite people to participate in our lives.

Starting this Sunday August 4th, the children will be joining the adults at worship service as part of our "Family Services" for the month of August. There will be a children's moment during service each week. There will be no Children's Sunday School & Kidz Church at 9:15am & 11am in August. The Nursery will be open for self-serve only at this time.

Also, please note that if your child will be attending any of the Children's Ministries events & programs starting in September, you will need to register your child: 2024-2025 Children's Ministry Registration Form

The Small Groups ministry provides an environment where you can cultivate Christian friendship and fellowship in Christ. It is about genuine and authentic relationships. It is about bearing one another's burdens. It is about sharing one another's joys. It is about building one another up in Christ. 

If you are interested in joining a small group, the 2024-2025 Small Groups list, descriptions, and online sign up form will be available on the website this coming Sunday August 4th. 

We are thankful that registration for our August 31st Lytton Ministry Trip is at capacity. Any new registrants will be put on a waiting list. Praise the Lord, we will have up to 55 members for the trip. Thank you for your continual prayers and support.

The Safety and Risk Management Training Seminar is mandatory for all volunteers serving with minors in Children's and Teens Ministry. All new and prospective volunteers are required to take the Full Training course in person on Sunday September 8, 2024 at 1pm-3pm.

Volunteers who have previously taken the Full Training are required to take the annual Refresher Course. We have a self-directed online course via Google Classroom which includes a quiz that must be completed before the deadline of September 29, 2024. 

Whether you are taking the Full or Refresher Training, please sign up below. The registration deadline is Friday September 6, 2024.

The Teens Badminton and Volleyball Summer Program is a free drop-in for teenagers aged 12 to 18 years old to have a place where they can have fun playing badminton and volleyball with friends and make new friends. Badminton and volleyball alternate weeks every Tuesday. On the weeks where there is badminton, please bring your own racquets. Click below for more info and to register.

Everyone has questions about life. What is my purpose? What happens when I die? Why is there suffering?

Alpha is a chance to ask these big questions and explore the Christian faith in a safe, low-key, relaxed environment. Each interactive session includes dinner, a short film, and a discussion where you can share what you think with a small group of people just like you. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile. You are free to discuss as much or as little as you wish. Dinner is included. Cost is free for guests. Alpha starts September 11th and runs for 12 Wednesday evenings. Come yourself or invite a friend and come with them!

Serve at VBS
VBS is coming up on August 12-16 and is still in need of 3-4 adult volunteers who can serve as Group Leaders who oversee a group of kids. Contact Pastor Becky (becky@fraserlands.ca) this week if you are interested in helping out.

Serve at Youth Ministry
We are looking for female counsellors who are interested in walking with our new Gr. 7 girls this Fall! Please contact Pastor Nathan (nathan@fraserlands.ca) if you want to learn more or hear about different opportunities to serve in our youth ministry.

Serve at Alpha
We are looking for volunteers to help run Alpha. Please prayfully consider serving in this 12 week long ministry to outreach to those in our community and beyond. The roles we are looking for are food prepration, dessert makers, table discussions, greeters and sign-in, setup, A/V, worship, and book table. Fraser Lands Gallery Exhibit 
The Fraser Lands Arts Ministry has curated a photography exhibit with the Fraser Lands Photography Group to tie in with Community Day with the theme: "A Beautiful Day in the Neighbourhood". The thematic direction of this exhibit was meant to showcase and capture the beauty of our neighbourhood, and the aspects that make it a community. You can view the exhibit in the courtyard gallery in the FLC lobby throughout the summer (July - August 2024).

Sunday Parking Reminder
On Sundays, the upper parking lot is reserved for first time visitors, parents with babies/toddlers (up to age 3), people who have limited mobility, handicap parking, and drop off/pick up.
