Paul and Silas' story teaches us that our unexpected struggles can become unexpected opportunities for God's power and salvation. When we choose to praise God in the darkness, He meets us there in surprising ways with hope and salvation.

For the month of August, the children & teens will be joining the adults at worship service as part of our "Summer Family Services". We will have some activity booklets and tables set up for the younger ones located up in the balcony. There will be no Children's Sunday School & Kidz Church at 9:15am & 11am in August. The Nursery will be open for self-serve only at this time.

Fraser Lands Church's Youth Ministry will be conducting a trial amalgamation of teenagers into the English Service from September to December. This initiative aims to foster deeper intergenerational worship, drawing on research that indicates such integration leads to greater faith maturity and a stronger sense of belonging. Our goal is to cultivate an inclusive environment where all generations can worship, learn, and serve together, empowering our youth in the process.

To evaluate this trial and our current programs, surveys for both teens and parents will be distributed in August and again in November.

- Annual Parents Night: Pastor Nathan will host this event on Friday September 26th.
- Q&A Session: Pastors will hold a Zoom Q&A session on Wednesday September 3rd at 7:30pm specifically about the amalgamation. Please contact one of our pastors for the zoom meeting link. The meeting will also be recorded and made available to you if you are unable to attend on that evening.

The church is dedicated to adapting its programs to best meet the evolving needs of our young people, and we highly value their insights and feedback.

There is always a need for blood donations. Giving blood is a tangible way the Church can serve our community.

Canadian Blood Services is hosting a blood donation event at Fraser Lands Church and a blood donation centre will be set up in the Multi-Purpose Room on Tuesday September 2, 2025 for our surrounding community to come and give blood.

Our Youth Fellowships are starting back up and the first event will be on Friday, September 5th at Fraser Lands from 7:30-9:30pm in the MPR.

If you have ever wondered if God still speaks today or how to hear His voice, then we invite you to join us for the Hearing God Seminar! We will explore this question and more. It is one of the most important practices of the Christian walk and it can help you experience and connect with God at an even deeper level. Registration deadline is this Sunday August 31st.

The Safety and Risk Management Training Seminar is mandatory for all volunteers serving with minors in Children's and Teens Ministry. All new and prospective volunteers are required to take the Full Training course in person on Sunday September 7, 2025 at 1pm-3pm. Volunteers who have previously taken the Full Training are required to take the annual Refresher Course. Whether you are taking the Full or Refresher Training, please sign up below. The registration deadline is Friday September 5, 2025.

Join us for an evening of campfire-style worship! It will be a night of free worship where you can direct yourself through the various stations of prayer, art, communion, and time with the Word. You can bring your own elements (Bible, sketchbook or journal) to use in the space created along with a picnic blanket for seating. Chairs and benches are available for those who wish to use them. All are welcome!

Everyone has questions about life. What is my purpose? What happens when I die? Why is there suffering? Alpha is a chance to ask these big questions and explore the Christian faith in a safe, low-key, relaxed environment. Invite a friend to explore these questions together! Each interactive session includes dinner, a short film, and a discussion. Cost is free for guests. 

Alpha starts September 24th and runs for 11 Wednesday evenings from 6:30pm-8:45pm. Click below for more info or to register.

Serve at Alpha
We are looking for volunteers to help run Alpha. We cook and prepare each meal for 11 weeks, set up a dining space for guests to eat and enjoy the film and have table discussions all done by volunteers! Please prayfully consider serving in this 11 week long ministry to outreach to those in our community and beyond. The next Alpha will run from September 24 - December 3, 2025.
