"Book of Ruth: Taking Refuge Under the Wings of the Lord"

In the Book of Ruth we see the love of God on display in the context of family brokenness and suffering. In the month of August we welcome the children into our time for a family friendly service. In these weeks, we will spend time examining the Covenantal Love of God for His people.

Prayer Ministry is an important ministry for the local church to provide. Find out more about the upcoming training event coming in September. Registration deadline is August 27.

The Safety and Risk Management Training Seminar is mandatory for all volunteers serving virtually or in-person with minors in Children's and Teens Ministry. All new and prospective volunteers are required to take the Full Training Course in person on Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 1pm-3pm in the Chapel. Volunteers who have previously taken the Full Training are required to take the annual online Refresher Course. Whether you are taking the Full or Refresher Training, please sign up below.

The A/V Equipment Training Session is mandatory for volunteers who will be using A/V equipment belonging to the church and have not taken the A/V Equipment Training Session previously.

Alpha is an opportunity to explore the questions of life and the basics of the Christian faith in a warm, friendly, open and informal environment. We are also offering Cantonese Online Alpha on Thursdays September 7 - November 30, 2023 at 7:30pm. It will be online via Zoom. Please consider inviting your Cantonese-speaking friends or family that are either in town or out-of-town to join us online.

Carpet Cleaning Preparation
We are looking for volunteers that would like to help us with preparing for our Annual Carpet Cleaning. We need to move a few items out of the rooms (i.g. tables, chair carts). Youth Ministry
Are you looking for ways to get involved with FLC's community life? Our youth ministry is going through revitalization and would love to include you as a potential counsellor or volunteer in a variety of capacities! Summer Clean Up

"God's Covenantal Love" Art Exhibit
Alongside our sermon series for the month of August, our artists reflect on the story of Ruth and God's covenantal love in the context of family brokenness and suffering. The Fraser Lands Gallery is located in the lobby courtyard.

Children's Ministry Updates
The children will be joining the adults at worship service as part of our "Family Services" for the month of August. There will be a children's moment during service each week. There will be no Children's Sunday School & Kidz Church at 9:15am & 11am in August. The Nursery will be open for self-serve only at this time. Please note that if your child will be attending any of the Children's Ministries events & programs starting in September, you will need to register your child: 2023-2024 Children's Ministry Registration Form

Sunday Parking Reminder
On Sundays, the upper parking lot is reserved for first time visitors, parents with babies/toddlers (up to age 3), people who have limited mobility, handicap parking, and drop off/pick up.

In order to reduce the amount of interest payment on our $1.45 million Building Loan, we initiated a program to allow individuals providing interest free loans to the church. Our current minimum interest free loan is $5,000.
