"BLESS - Story"

When we go on mission we go as representatives of the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, at some point we need to share the story of the gospel. We all have stories; we tell stories to make meaning of the world. One of the ways that we can share the gospel is by sharing what God has been doing in my own life.

For the month of August, the children & teens will be joining the adults at worship service as part of our "Family Services". There will be a children's moment during service each week. There will be no Children's Sunday School & Kidz Church at 9:15am & 11am in August. The Nursery will be open for self-serve only at this time.

Please remember our team of 56 volunteers running a Children's Carnival at the 20th anniversary of Lytton's River Festival from 11am-3pm on Saturday Aug. 31, 2024. Please join us in praying for the upcoming event and for those who will be serving,

Prayer Requests:
- Travel mercy for the 15 vehicles heading to Lytton.
- Logistics for the event, that everything will run smoothly as planned.
- Favourable weather - carnival will be held in the Lytton town site, first time since the wildfire of 2021.
- Servant's heart and joy as we serve the Lyttonites.
- Food safety as we'll be serving hot dogs, cotton candy, and popcorn.
- Our Heavenly Father will be glorified through our love in action.

Many of us yearn to have close friends. The kind of friends who would understand and care about you, listen to you, accept and value you the way you are, and have your best interests at heart. Do such people actually exist in the church?

The Small Groups ministry provides an environment where you can cultivate Christian friendship and fellowship in Christ. It is about genuine and authentic relationships. It is about bearing one another's burdens. It is about sharing one another's joys. It is about building one another up in Christ.

Registration for Youth Ministries has begun! If you (or your children) are teens in Gr.7-12, you are invited to be part of our youth ministries this Fall. The Teens Badminton and Volleyball Summer Program is a free drop-in for teenagers aged 12 to 18 years old to have a place where they can have fun playing badminton and volleyball with friends and make new friends. Badminton and volleyball alternate weeks every Tuesday. On the weeks where there is badminton, please bring your own racquets. Click below for more info and to register.

The Safety and Risk Management Training Seminar is mandatory for all volunteers serving with minors in Children's and Teens Ministry. All new and prospective volunteers are required to take the Full Training course in person on Sunday September 8, 2024 at 1pm-3pm. Volunteers who have previously taken the Full Training are required to take the annual Refresher Course. Whether you are taking the Full or Refresher Training, please sign up below. The registration deadline is Friday September 6, 2024.

Everyone has questions about life. What is my purpose? What happens when I die? Why is there suffering? Alpha is a chance to ask these big questions and explore the Christian faith in a safe, low-key, relaxed environment. Each interactive session includes dinner, a short film, and a discussion. Alpha starts September 11th and runs for 12 Wednesday evenings. Click below for more info or to register.

Feeling tired or discouraged as a ministry leader? Not sure if you have what it takes to continue? The apostle Paul also faced tremendous pressure in his ministry. In 2 Corinthians he shares many unique perspectives on how to be an exemplary and effective minister. Let's come together for a few months to study God's Word and to help each other to reflect and recharge.

Sunday Parking Reminder
On Sundays, the upper parking lot is reserved for first time visitors, parents with babies/toddlers (up to age 3), people who have limited mobility, handicap parking, and drop off/pick up.
