Often when we come to pray, our minds are filled with our own worries, problems and difficulties. Yet, as we come to God the Holy Spirit works on us bringing to light our sin. God reveals to us sometimes gently, sometimes powerfully, the ways that we have erred and fallen short of his glory. Learning to confess our sins to God is part of a healthy regular 'diet' of prayer.

Prayer Summits are the monthly opportunity to engage in prayer together as a church! Join us as we gather for worship, reflection, personal prayer time, and corporate prayer for important needs and issues.

Lunch will be available beforehand at 12:30pm in the Banquet Room for those staying for the Prayer Summit. If you would like to bring your own lunch, you are welcome to join us in the Banquet Room.

As we observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30th, here is a link to the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action Learning and Prayer Guide from the C&MA in Canada. The pathway to healing and reconciliation will ultimately depend on faith and hope in action. It is our prayer that this guide will inform and challenge each of us to embrace humility, to identify with the suffering of others, and to be intentional in taking actions that honour the truth and reconcile the future.

We thank the Lord for answering our prayers as we have Rev. Joseph Chan (known as Pastor Joe) as our candidate for English Congregation Pastor.  On Sunday, October 6, Pastor Joe will be preaching at our 11am English Worship Service. Following the service, Pastor Joe and his wife, Monique, will meet our congregations for a Q&A session at 1:00pm.

You will have until October 13, 2024 to provide any feedback or comments to the Elders Board as we finalize our decision. You can email your feedback or comments to the Senior Pastor at abe@fraserlands.ca. We value your prayers and input as we discern and seek together God's will for His church.

Pizza lunch will be available at 12:30pm, prior to the Q&A session with the candidate on Sunday, October 6th at 1pm.

Set Free Weekend focuses on learning how to deal with the hurts, hang-ups and struggles that we all face on a daily basis and come to a place of freedom inside our hearts from the past, through listening prayer, confession and learning about the power of the cross.

Funfest is a safe and fun alternative for children on Halloween Night. This is our annual carnival filled with games for kids 12 and under, prizes, and food. A spectacular evening that your children will be sure to enjoy!

Age: For children ages 3 to 12 (Children under the age of 3 must be accompanied by an adult)

When: Thursday, October 31, 2024

Time: 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Where: Fraser Lands Church (3330 SE Marine Drive, Vancouver, V5S 3B1)

Connect Café is hosting a Newcomers Welcome Luncheon on Sunday, November 3, 2024, from 1pm to 3pm at Fraser Lands Church in the Multi-Purpose Room (MPR). Lunch is free for newcomers. 

All newcomers who have been attending Fraser Lands Church at any time between January 2024 to the present and have not attended the last Connect Cafe Newcomers Welcome Luncheon, are welcome to attend. Please click below for more info and to register.

Our last Ministry Trip to Lytton was on Saturday August 31, 2024.  This time we had a team of 54 people including 28 members who made the trip to Lytton for the first time. The weather was cool in the morning but became sunny and hot during the day.

This is the 20th Anniversary of the River Festival, and the event was held in the village centre for the first time since the devastating fire that destroyed the village in June 2021. People were excited to return to the village and witnessed several buildings under construction.

Children's Ministry - Awana is looking for a few more adult leaders:
- 1 adult leader in Sparks
- 1 full time adult leader in T&T Jr
- 1 full time adult leader in T&T Sr
As a leader, your role is to help children in memorizing God's Word, teaching lessons, and building relationships through games time, council time, and conversations. Please contact Pastor Becky (becky@fraserlands.ca) if you are interested.

Sunday Parking Reminder
On Sundays, the upper parking lot is reserved for first time visitors, parents with babies/toddlers (up to age 3), people who have limited mobility, handicap parking, and drop off/pick up.
