Connect Café Ministry held its 8th Newcomers Welcome Luncheon on April 26th, 2026. The fun-filled event was attended by 35 newcomers. Guests felt welcomed and right at home based on the feedback we received from them. The personal "Connect Stories" shared by two newcomers and three long time members, were deeply inspiring. Our speakers shared about their experiences at FLC, including how they got connected and what encouraged them to make FLC their home church. Once again, the common message running through all their stories, was a "sense of belonging, family, home & community". More specifically, “home” is where one can simply be oneself and there is unconditional love or acceptance. (Click below to read more)

Since February 2026, I have stepped into a reduced role at CRRS, which has opened the door for a new community-serving opportunity at YWCA as the Coordinator of the MicroEnterprise Collective Program. This program walks alongside women from diverse and often marginalized backgrounds—including single mothers, newcomers, Indigenous and racialized women, and those who are under-employed or living with disabilities—helping them build skills and pathways toward sustainable livelihoods.

At CRRS, now as the Outreach Ministry Consultant, I continue to serve and deepen relationships with Indigenous families through the Community Building Program, which addresses urgent grocery needs and still lead the Eagle Youth Music Program (in partnership with Vancouver Urban Ministries) this school year.

Kidz Kamp is an overnight camp for children who have completed Grades 1-6. At camp, kids learn to be independent, make lasting friendships and learn about who God is! We have fun at camp with lots of activities such as bowling, swimming, games and crafts. 

Age: Grades 1 - 6 (completing Grade in June)
When: June 26 - 29, 2026 (Friday-Monday)
Where: Columbia Bible College, Abbotsford
Cost: Early Bird $400 (May 1-24) | Regular $420 (May 25- June 5)

Join us for a weekend of worship, fellowship, fun & games on Thetis Island, where we aim to encounter the presence of God so that we can be transformed by His love.

The Safety and Risk Management Training Seminar is mandatory for all volunteers serving virtually or in-person with minors in Children's and Teens Ministry. The Full Training Course is on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at 1pm-3pm in Chapel. All new and prospective volunteers are required to take the Full Training course in person. Volunteers who have previously taken the Full Training are required to take the annual online Refresher Course. Whether you are taking the Full or Refresher Training, please sign up below. Registration deadline is May 1, 2026.

VBS 2026
Monday-Friday August 10-14, 2026 | 9:15am-12:15pm
VBS is our 5 day summer day camp, where kids from Preschool to Grade 6 can join in on the fun! A fabulous week of day camp filled with Bible lessons, creative crafts, joy-filled singing, amazing games, delicious refreshments, and lasting friendships. Elders Board Update
Dominic Fung, Ken Lo, Hanson So, and Samantha Tsui were elected Elders for a 2 year term (2026-2028) at this year's AGM on Sunday April 19th. They will join existing Elders: Berlinda Chan, Justin Chan, Joyce Chen, and Nicholas Lai with our Lead Pastor, Abe Chan, to form the Elders Board. Albert Tam will be stepping down this year. We thank him for his many years of faithful service.
